Caregivers' Scope of Services

The Caregivers assigned to you are paraprofessionals trained to work with you to help you through a critical period of time. Following are the services offered by Family Care Plus Caregivers on a Live-In basis:

Personal Care - Bathing, cooking, feeding, toileting and ambulating are provided under the supervision of a Field Supervisor. The Field Supervisor will do an initial examination and safety assessment of the client and the home, and will prepare and give a detailed plan of care to the Caregiver which will include a demonstration of procedure(s) to be followed.

Routine Light Housekeeping - Making and changing beds, light dusting, dishes, keeping the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms clean and tidy, vacuuming, shopping and/or creating a list of needed supplies. If necessary, a Caregiver can launder a few items for other members of the family that are handicapped, physically limited, or dependent upon the client when he/she is well.

Prepare and serve meals - for the client and spouse as required. If requested, the Caregiver can plan meals, giving special attention to nutritional value and special diets as directed by the Field Supervisor.
